About Canadian Natural Resources
Canadian Natural Resources is one of the largest crude oil and natural gas producers in the entire world. Its’ headquarters are located in Calgary, Alberta with their main focus on the Western Sedimentary Basin, but the company controls production of natural resources in areas as far away as West Africa and the North Sea by the United Kingdom.
CNR has roots back to 1989 when they had a mere 9 employees and produced approximately 1,400 barrels of oil per day, but due to the companies dedication to excellence as well as its’ environmental ethics, it has expanded worldwide to include over 8000 employees and produce over 817,000 barrels of oil per day. In 2008 they were ranked 251st on the Forbes Global 2000 list and have continued to grow and expand in the past few years.
Canadian Natural Resources works in numerous branches of the oil and gas industry. They are the top producers of natural gas and heavy crude oil in Canada and are the only company who supplies undiluted heavy crude oil to blending facilities in Hardisty Alberta. They not only build new supply options, CNR specializes in increasing production in already existing areas, so as to protect the natural environment and ensure the complete usage of existing resource sites.
